Voice Instructor

Join the Irvine School of Music as a Part‑time Voice Teacher. We are a large, fast‑growing music school in Irvine seeking passionate instructors to inspire the next generation of musicians.

We handle scheduling and tuition, so you can focus on teaching. Opportunities for professional development, guaranteed pay, and a collaborative environment.

Position Details
  • Pay: $26–$32/hr, with increases based on student retention.
  • Hours:

    Flexible teaching hours – Monday‑Friday 2‑9 PM;
    Saturday/Sunday 9 AM‑5 PM.
  • Commute to Irvine required.
  • Federal background check required.
  • English fluency.
  • Minimum 12‑month commitment for non‑substitute positions.
Your Responsibilities
  • Teach private and/or group lessons.
  • Communicate with parents and students.
  • Assign homework and prepare students for recitals.
  • Create engaging lesson plans.
  • Attend student recitals and events.
  • Participate in ongoing pedagogical training.
  • Develop students through our unique pedagogical methods.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music or current enrollment in a music program.
  • Willingness to commute to Irvine.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Passionate about teaching and knowledgeable about reputable teaching methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching children ages 5 and up.
  • Experience with both private and group classes.
  • Ability to teach Jazz, Pop, and Classical styles.
  • Master’s degree in your teaching area.
  • Interest in early childhood program.
  • Experience teaching students with learning disabilities (ADHD, ADD, Autism).
  • Ability to teach advanced‑level students.
