The ideal candidate is commercially minded, detail‑oriented, and thrives at the intersection of energy markets, infrastructure, and real estate development. You’ll help negotiate critical energy contracts, coordinate with utilities and co‑ops across multiple jurisdictions, and ensure our projects are positioned for long‑term energy success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute strategies to support data center energy supply, market development, and infrastructure. Structure and execute energy supply agreements and innovative clean energy agreements.
  • Commercial Contract Negotiations:
Serve as a lead negotiator and commercial liaison between utilities, hyperscalers/data center developers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical Collaboration and Site Selection:
From an energy perspective, collaborate with internal and external teams to inform site selection efforts. Be well‑versed in utility tariffs and rate structures as part of agreement discussions.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
Regularly track and report on development performance metrics, pipeline status, and market feedback to senior leadership. Use data‑driven insights to continuously improve project processes and outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Serve as support on all client interface engagements, leading customer meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers at various organizational levels, from data center executives to technical staff.
  • Market Development and Representation:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging energy trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape within the data center and energy sectors. Represent the company articulating the benefits of infrastructure modernization and energy‑efficient approaches.
  • Leadership:
Provide guidance on best practices and strategies for effective client engagement. Foster an internal and external partnership ecosystem to support customer acquisition and develop a sustainable opportunity funnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the energy industry in the United States (e.g., electric utilities, energy regulators, energy project development, energy project finance, energy policy, corporate energy procurement, energy commodities, energy consulting, or other energy industry stakeholders).
