Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for the selection, audit, development and management of approved suppliers of products. This role assists in all phases of product development from new product development through warranty and end‑of‑life management. The QE is a key leader who must foster cooperation with R&D, Customer Satisfaction, Purchasing, Production, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering.

• Specifies inspection equipment, devices, tools and methods based on TRD, FMEA, drawings, and Inspection Planning Packages.
• Trains and directs team members in proper use of equipment.
• Supports Quality Technicians as needed. Assigns or recommends sampling rates, tools, and techniques for inspection procedures and planning packages.
• Manages the ISO System. Leads CAR reviews and ISO audits. Prepares the audit team and the internal audit schedule. Manages the internal ISO documented quality system (ISO‑DQS).
• Organizes first article process and ensures appropriate inspection techniques are available for CTQs. Plans, organizes, and reviews new part/supplier/tool qualifications.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent understanding of Quality Engineering Statistics and the ability to use this to leverage quality performance.
• Working knowledge of AIAG definitions and practices for FMEA, MSA, Cp, CpK and SPC. Knows how to apply each in practice.
