Role OverviewAs Senior Project Manager – Engineering you will lead multidisciplinary teams through the entire project lifecycle, from development and initiation to close‑out, and coordinate small to medium single‑discipline engineering projects as well as large routine projects.
Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects.
- Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff.
- Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning throughout the project's development.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort to ensure completion within schedule.
- Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice.
- Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects.
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized software, and perform structural load calculations and geometric layout.
- Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.
- Mentor staff and support continued development.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master's degree.
- PMP certification.
- SE preferred.
- 15 years of bridge design experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Micro Station, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design.
- Experience with structural analysis programs and bridge design software.
- Experience working with junior staff.
- Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of highway bridges.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational, listening and mentoring skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 10 years related experience.
- Minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized in the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE) license).
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
