Mid-level Mechanical Engineer – Healthcare – Full-time – Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) – Salary range: $120,000–$150,000.

• Lead and manage all phases of healthcare-focused projects from proposal development through construction completion.
• Apply advanced engineering concepts, perform complex calculations and modeling, and oversee design, specifications, and working drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and subconsultants to deliver high-quality results.

• Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex HVAC and medical gas design challenges.
• Perform detailed engineering and economic calculations and modeling.
• Troubleshoot operating systems and resolve technical disputes.
• Develop specifications and construction estimates for large healthcare projects.
• Peer review large-scale designs and reports.

• Administer project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Seal drawings and provide direction to design teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and assist with time management.
• Lead construction meetings and produce documentation including punch lists and meeting reports.
• Represent P2S at professional meetings and industry events.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License (California preferred).
• Additional certifications are a plus.

• 5–10 years of engineering design and/or project management experience.
• Strong mechanical/HVAC design capability in healthcare and acute care settings.
• Familiarity with HCAI codes and standards, FGI Guidelines, and NFPA-99.
• Comfortable presenting complex engineering concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Project management experience is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience maintaining strong client relationships.
