Manufacturing Engineer – ITT Inc.
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) provides support to develop, sustain, troubleshoot, and optimize programs involving manufacturing assembly. Ensures a smooth transition from development to production phases, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and cost reduction for production and development operations.
- Create production routers, BOMs, and manufacturing control instructions.
- Design and develop tooling, fixture, and small-scale automation solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and work with Design/Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness of proposed designs.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria such as efficiency and speed.
- Develop long-term cost reduction opportunity projects to optimize facility layouts, production lines, and assembly operations.
- Utilize statistical methods to evaluate data and provide recommendations on high-complexity projects.
- Analyze manufacturing problems using PFMEA and Gage R&R and implement solutions.
- Develop technical requirements and broad concepts of tools and testing related to the functional product.
- Evaluate assembly automation opportunities and develop a business case for equipment capital expense requests.”>
- Plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously, including generation of schedules, budgets, business cases, and project plans for complex efforts.
- Technical liaison with engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
- Participate in MRB activities and solutions utilizing latest state-of-the-art engineering developments and philosophies available.
- Perform root-cause analysis on product/process failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineer(s) and Product Engineer(s) to ensure all required product details are assured through process controls.
- Identify and implement EHS improvements within assigned product line scope.
- Engage with customers and suppliers on technical details and project status.
- Lead by example and demonstrate initiative and ownership across multiple product lines.
- Support a positive and collaborative environment by contributing to the overall success of the site.
- Communicate clearly in written and verbal forms to site leadership, peers, factory personnel, and customers.
- Create reports conveying process capability and modification results to management and program teams.
- Give effective presentations to large internal and external audiences and author convincing reports backed with substantive data.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6+ years of hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to respond to change quickly.
- Strong sense of urgency for completing work on time and managing multiple priorities.
- Poise, composure, and confidence when confronting stressful or high‑pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with VBLSS (Lean Six Sigma) process improvement tools and methodology.
- LEAF manufacturing experience required.
- Comprehensive understanding of GD&T.
- Excellent knowledge of problem‑solving/root‑cause analysis tools and methodology.
- Pro‑E CAD software experience; computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Electrical testing, tooling/fixture design and electrical connector experience is a plus.
- Experience in an MRP manufacturing environment (SAP preferred) and IPC certifications (IPC‑610, IPC‑620, or J‑STD‑001) preferred.
- Highly proficient in fundamentals of manufacturing and tooling techniques, inspection, and metrology, including CMM usage.

Equal Pay Act StatementWe aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively based on performance, values, and market considerations. The annual salary range for this position is $112,700 to $168,500, plus benefits and incentive plans.
