Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and support the introduction of new products to market
• Define new product functional requirements
• Design, test, and integrate components into final product designs
• Evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety
• Design, develop, execute, and evaluate fitness-for-use testing
• Develop product specifications and process validation plans
• Create and review material part specifications and bills of materials
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability
• Utilize CAD or CAE systems to model designs and generate detailed engineering drawings
• Work independently as an individual contributor, applying professional judgment with minimal supervision
• Apply technical principles and concepts to resolve issues as they arise
• Demonstrate attention to detail and sound evaluative judgment based on factual analysis

Qualifications

• Professional mastery of a specialized technical field
• College degree or equivalent required
• Minimum of 4 or more years of applicable professional experience
• Demonstrated professional knowledge gained through substantial work experience to supplement formal education
