Engineer, Quality Engineering

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA
. You will lead the design and development of medical devices and components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and design control processes.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead and execute the design of medical devices and components in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Prepare concept designs, perform feasibility studies, and support CAD-related activities.

• Develop technical reports, risk assessments, and participate in design reviews.

• Support prototype development, testing, and perform verification and validation activities.

• Investigate design issues, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with design control processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in medical device design and development.

• Strong project planning and execution skills with experience in regulatory compliance and design control processes.

• Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and excellent documentation skills for design, testing, and risk assessments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $56.00 per hour
