Responsibilities- Design and develop test methods to support additional studies.
- Apply engineering principles to product design analysis and assessment.
- Produce engineering reports to provide technical explanation to support domestic and international regulatory submissions.
- Leverage engineering knowledge in conducting complaint evaluations and CAPA investigations to understand potential device failures.
- Prepare technical product documentation including design history files, drawings, bills of materials, test protocols and reports, engineering change orders, etc.
- Coordinate and lead competitive testing and aging testing.
- Interact with physicians to assist with product demonstrations.
- Optimize and refine existing products.
- Develop familiarity with endovascular procedures and apply the knowledge to product development and product risk assessment.
- Provide guidance to technicians and pilot associates.
- Identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Work with senior leadership/released product management (RPM), cross-functional key stakeholders, and project team to deliver top-quality designs and work products on time.
- Work with and provide technical leadership to other development engineers, lab technicians, and test engineers.
- Ensure adherence to product specifications, industry standards, and quality and regulatory procedures and requirements.
- Create innovative technical solutions which lead to the development and introduction of new technologies, products, and processes that support ongoing business objectives.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree in a technically related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree
- Experience with endovascular device and design
- Experience with test method validation
- Experience with V&V protocol design and execution
- Knowledgeable in engineering change control processes and product life cycles
- Experience developing products in a regulated industry such as medical, aerospace, defense, etc.
- Understanding of engineering statistics, CAD (Solidworks), root cause methodology, failure analysis
- Effective technical communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and good team player

Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excl. PR): $83,200.00 - $. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and certain locations in California, and may vary based on experience, certification, education, market conditions, and location.
