Design Engineer

Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Irvine, CA (On-site)

10-month contract (with potential to extend)

We are seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to support the design, validation, and launch of new products. This role will be responsible for translating functional requirements into robust, manufacturable designs while ensuring performance, cost, reliability, and safety standards are met.

• Design, validate, and support the introduction of new products to market
• Define and document precise product functional requirements
• Design, test, and integrate components into final product designs
• Evaluate overall design effectiveness, including cost, reliability, and safety
• Develop, execute, and assess fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans
• Create, review, and maintain material part specifications and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Collaborate closely with internal manufacturing teams, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability
• Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and/or CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) tools to model designs and produce detailed engineering drawings

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• Experience in product design and development from concept through validation
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with CAD and/or CAE software
• Experience creating technical documentation, specifications, and BOMs
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, on-site environment
