Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of engineering design & development concepts of automotive complete seating system
- Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
- Experience in the design of seat and seat components such as foam headrest, seat plastic, cables, lumber and trim cover
- Relevant experience in master sections, vehicle integration, vehicle packaging, concept creation, assembly processes of various seat parts
- Knowledge and understanding of tooling and seat manufacturing processes
- Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation
- Ability to perform complete seat packaging study of seating components
- Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements for seating system (FMVSS regulations)
- Maintain and develop design validation plans (DVP) and design failure mode analysis (DFMEA)
- Good knowledge of seating system and component manufacturing processes
