Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry, has an immediate opening for a Staff Design Engineer on a 9-month+ Contract

The experienced Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, validating and bringing new products to market.
Position Description (Principal Duties and Responsibilities)- Specifying precise new product functional requirements; designing, testing and integrating components to produce final designs; and evaluating the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.
- Designing, developing, executing and evaluating fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creating and reviewing material part specifications and bills of materials.
- Collaborating with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
- Leading and supporting the development of complex products and medical devices, within a cross functional team environment, influencing multiple technical areas of expertise in the research, design, development, modification and evaluation of components, assemblies, or systems.
- Applying advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various technologies.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 4 or more years' experience.
- Documentation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- DHF design experience highly preferred.
- CAD experience highly preferred.
