Responsibilities
Max Linear is seeking a Principal Product Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Own ICs from design release through qualification, production ramp, and product lifecycle
- Define and execute product characterization, ATE validation, reliability, and qualification plans
- Develop and manage Product Qualification Requirements (Package Qual, Burn-in, ESD, Latchup)
- Responsible for on-going product cost reduction efforts and quality improvements; including Test Time reductions/optimization, alternate source qualifications, and Yield improvement, DPPM reduction
- Lead technical reviews and present executive-level project updates
- Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate, manage, and prioritize all activities to transition a new product from design to production release
- Serve as the primary product engineering interface among Design, Marketing, Foundry, OSAT, Supply chain, and Quality organizations
- Drive risk assessment and mitigation plans throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop statistical models and data analytics to improve product yield and quality
- Drive root-cause investigations for reliability failures and field-return issues
- Experience with releasing products on advanced CMOS Process nodes (16nm and below)
- Deep knowledge of mm-wave, RF, Mixed signal, and CMOS logic circuit principles
- Knowledge and experience with ATE (Automatic Test Equipment), such as Verigy and Teradyne
- Experience with Data Analysis S/W such as Galaxy, Data Conductor or Data Power to create Characterization Reports and monitor production Yield
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related +9 years of experience, or MS +7 years of experience, or Ph.D. +5 years of experience
Max Linear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
Max Linear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $160,000 to $191,000

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
