Accounting Manager

A dynamic real estate client of Century Group's is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for preparing financials, supervising investment accountants, and coordinating fund reporting. Ideal candidate is ambitious, analytical and detail-oriented assisting two controllers. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $125,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Possesses a good understanding of how funds are being accounted for pursuant to the governing fund documents, advisory agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assists with internal tax and investor relations teams' requests.
• Assists with fund budgeting, forecasting, and other reporting activities.
• Prepares or reviews fund distribution and capital call calculations, including ensures payments are made/received timely, and Yardi is updated and maintained accordingly.
• Reviews and reconciles external property financials to Yardi, and ensure property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinance transactions are accurately recorded by the external property management accountants.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent Microsoft Office experience including Excel
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 4 years' of fund and property accounting experience
• Public accounting & CPA preferred
• Yardi experience
