Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Review complex tax credit studies for accuracy and legal compliance
• Analyze contracts and business records to ensure adherence to tax regulations
• Conduct legal research and draft technical memos on tax law issues
• Prepare and manage responses to IRS and state audits, including appeals
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop quality assurance processes for new tax programs
• Lead and mentor audit staff, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management within the QA/Audit department

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related area of study
• 8+ years of relevant tax experience
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing audit teams
• CPA or JD required; LLM preferred
• Experience with IRS audit procedures, tax credit studies, and legal research tools
