Behavior Specialist – Center for Social Dynamics (Part‑time)

We are currently seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team! As a key member, you will support children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies across homes, centers, and community settings. You’ll follow personalized plans, bring energy, compassion, and structure to each session, and receive training and ongoing support from experienced clinical leaders.

• Conduct scheduled sessions unless time‑off is granted or parents request cancellation.
• Substitute for other clients when sessions cancel, primarily on Saturdays and within availability.
• Additional hours or sessions may be assigned by Regional leadership.
• Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans directed by Clinical Director and senior leaders.
• Travel to centers, homes, and community settings to deliver services.
• Deliver subbing sessions mainly at regional centers.
• Document completed sessions daily with thorough notes.
• Communicate schedule changes and cancellations to clinical team immediately.
• Participate in regular meetings and promptly communicate with Clinical Leaders via email and phone.
• Complete all required clinical documentation, including Daily Treatment Session Notes, Target Data, and Behavior Data.
• Maintain up‑to‑date site documents and current clinical reports for each child.
• Stay current on new research, trends, and developments in special education.
• Attend staff meetings, in‑services, trainings, and other meetings as requested.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Enthusiastic about working with children and making a difference.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Flexible availability: high demand Monday‑Thursday 3‑8 pm and Saturdays.
• Complete new‑hire training online and in person.
• Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID – California mandated).
• Reliable transportation required.
• Sensitivity and respect for diverse populations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Good judgment, decision‑making, and confidentiality.
• Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Proficiency in computer/word processing software.

• Visual stimulation: close/ distance vision, reading, computer work.
• Constant sitting; frequent standing and chair movement.
• Phone use: speaking and listening.
• Document handling, copier, fax, filing.
• Typing, computer use.
• Occasional walking, bending, reaching, stooping, pulling.
• Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional driving and maintaining visual attention for report writing.
• Loading/unloading toys and materials during home visits (10 %).
