Job Details

Compensation: Towne Park offers competitive pay. The hourly base pay range for this position is $16.50 per hour plus tips.

Work Schedule: 2 pm to 9 pm.

Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401k retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits.

Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage (delivery and pick up), and handling related tasks during arrival and departure.

Essential Functions

Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, coworkers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions – 25%.

Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper phone etiquette; posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks –10%.

Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests –20%.

Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; delivers messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations –10%.

Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys; maintains ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt; calculates and collects revenue when needed –35%.

The total amount of time for all functions of the job – 100%.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Required Licensure: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or a commutable distance from the state.

Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to guests, clients, and other employees.
  • Basic math skills: add/subtract three‑digit numbers, multiply/divide with tens and hundreds; apply to U.S. currency.
  • Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Understanding applicable rates for time passed.
  • Operation of a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking.
Authority To Act & Scope

Job is fairly routine; follows established practices and procedures. Duties performed with specific directions and frequent checks or verifications. Decisions made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Worker regularly required to talk or hear; frequently sit or stand for extended periods; may run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.

Physical lifting: up to 100 lbs force occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 20 lbs constantly.

Work primarily outdoors; exposure to extreme heat, cold, and other weather conditions.

Travel: up to 5% may be required.
