Responsible for stocking the housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping functions in the hotel and cleaning the guest hallways and public areas.

Essential Job Functions:

• Wipe down the vending areas in the guest corridors.
• Remove trash from the trash cans in the hallways, from the housekeeping carts, and from the guest rooms and deposit it in the dumpster.
• Thoroughly clean and vacuum the guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells.
• Dust light fixtures in the hallways, fire extinguisher boxes, railings, etc.
• Remove soiled linens from the housekeeping carts and take them to the laundry room to be cleaned using the laundry carts.
• Restock the carts with clean linens as needed by the room attendants.
• Remove dirty glasses from the guest rooms and take them to the dishwasher in the kitchen or housekeeping area for cleaning. Restock clean glasses as needed.
• Stock amenities and cleaning supplies in the storage area.
• Promptly and courteously deliver all items requested by guests within ten (10) minutes of their request. Once the guest is finished, return items to Housekeeping.
Funciones esenciales del puesto
• Limpiar las superficies de las áreas de máquinas expendedoras ubicadas en los pasillos de las habitaciones.
• Retirar la basura de los botes ubicados en los pasillos, de los carros de limpieza y de las habitaciones, y depositarla en el contenedor de basura.
• Limpiar a fondo y aspirar los pasillos de las habitaciones, los elevadores, las orillas de las alfombras y las escaleras.
• Quitar el polvo de las lámparas de los pasillos, los gabinetes de los extintores, los baranda les y otras superficies.
• Retirar la ropa de cama y las toallas sucias de los carros de limpieza y transportarlas a la lavandería utilizando los carros destinados para este fin.
• Reabastecer los carros con ropa de cama y toallas limpias según las necesidades del personal de limpieza de habitaciones.
• Retirar los vasos sucios de las habitaciones y llevarlos al lavavajillas de la cocina o del área de Ama de Llaves para su limpieza. Reabastecer los vasos limpios según sea necesario.
• Abastecer el área de almacenamiento con artículos de cortesía para huéspedes y productos de limpieza.
• Entregar de manera oportuna y cortés todos los artículos solicitados por los huéspedes dentro de los diez (10) minutos posteriores a su solicitud. Una vez que el huésped termine de utilizarlos, devolverlos al departamento de Ama de Llaves.

• Assist Room Attendants in cleaning rooms when needed at a specified time frame per room.

Job, Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements:

• Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, and information, answer questions, and provide service as required.
• Lift and carry heavy boxes/loads of linens weighing approximately thirty (30) lbs.
• Bend, stoop, reach to vacuum, and perform cleaning duties.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
• Easily handle linens, glasses, and amenities.
• Inspect public areas and restrooms and clean any area that requires immediate attention.
• Push heavy carts weighing approximately one hundred (100) pounds
