Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning initiatives for West Coast University and American Career College. This role manages a team of full-time recruiters and oversees the implementation and optimization of selection processes to meet organizational needs. Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle recruitment process across all levels, candidate sourcing and assessment, employment branding, candidate experience, standardization of recruitment policies and procedures, and analyzing recruiting metrics.

Functions & Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to understand staffing needs and provide talent acquisition strategies and solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with leaders at all organizational levels to build confidence in the recruitment function.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring alignment with organizational recruitment initiatives.
  • Lead and support executive and senior leadership recruitment processes.
  • Coach and develop team members, establishing standardized recruitment processes for consistency and fairness.
  • Build talent pipelines through innovative outreach strategies to ensure proactive recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure recruitment process consistency, including requisition and offer approvals.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including advertising agencies, background check providers, assessment vendors, and job boards.
  • Optimize advertising budgets to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to improve recruiting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage applicant tracking systems for sourcing, tracking, and reporting throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of requisitions with quality candidates, maintaining communication with hiring managers and leadership.
  • Lead and train the Talent Acquisition team, promoting best practices and strategic initiatives.
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, laws, and ethical standards, including confidentiality and proper use of equipment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of ten years’ experience in full lifecycle recruiting, including five years in a supervisory role.
    • Proven expertise in modern recruiting practices, behavioral assessment techniques, and social media employment branding strategies.
    • Experience as a change agent within recruitment functions.
    • Track record of attracting diverse talent and building inclusive pipelines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience leading recruiting teams to achieve results.
    • Extensive knowledge of all recruitment components, including sourcing, legal compliance, and relationship management.
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems, including system implementation.
    • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employment and recruitment.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively across diverse organizational levels and cultural backgrounds.
    • Flexibility to work a variable schedule as needed.
