Job Summary:

The Payroll Managerwilloverseeandsupervisetheorganization ’spayrollfunctions,ensuringpayisprocessedontime,accurately,andincompliancewithgovernmentregulationsincludingbutnotlimitedtoprevailingwagelaws,where applicable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits,interviews,hires,andtrainsnewstaffinthedepartment.
Overseesthedailyworkflowofthedepartment.
Providesconstructiveandtimelyperformanceevaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Implements,maintains,andreviewspayrollprocessingsystemstoensuretimelyandaccurateprocessingofpayrolltransactionsincludingsalaries,benefits,garnishments,taxes,andotherdeductions.
Ensuresaccurateandtimelyprocessingofpayrollupdatesincludingnewhires,terminations,andchangestopayrates.
Preparesandmaintainsaccuraterecordsandreportsofpayrolltransactions.
Ensurescompliancewithfederal,state,andlocalpayroll,wage,andhourlawsandbestpractices.
Reviewandauditssubcontractorpayrollcompliancedocumentsforassignedprojects.
Reviewsandprepares Worker'sCompensationinsurancecarriermonthlypayrollsubmittals.
Facilitatesauditsbyprovidingrecordsanddocumentationtoauditors.
Identifiesandrecommendsupdatestopayrollprocessingsoftware,systems,and procedures.
Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Extensiveknowledgeofthepayrollfunctionincludingpreparation,balancing,internal control,andpayrolltaxes.
Excellentorganizationalskillsandattentiontodetail.
Stronganalyticalandproblem-solving skills.
Strongsupervisoryandleadershipskills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suiteorrelatedsoftware .
Proficientwithpayrollsoftware.

Education and

Experience:

Bachelor’sdegreein

Accounting,Business Administration,Human Resources,orrelatedfieldrequired.
3-5yearsofrelatedexperiencerequired.

Physical Requirements:

Prolongedperiodsofsittingatadeskandworkingonacomputer.
Mustbeabletolift
15poundsattimes.
