Role Overview
As the Enterprise Data Governance Manager you will be instrumental in transforming Ford’s data landscape. You will bring to life our Enterprise Data Council (EDC) strategy, ensuring data is managed and leveraged as a strategic asset across the organization. Concurrently, you will serve as the primary evangelist for our analytics big data platform, articulating its capabilities and value to key business stakeholders with the goal of driving widespread adoption and improving business results.
This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of data governance and modern data platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field or work equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in data management, data governance, product management for data platforms, or a related strategic role within a large enterprise.
- Proven experience in leading or significantly contributing to data governance initiatives and/or managing cross‑functional councils.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior-level stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value for non‑technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of data architectures, big data technologies, and cloud platforms (GCP specifically is a plus).
- Experience with data governance frameworks, data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in an enterprise environment.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with a proven track record of driving adoption and cultural change.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
