Our Client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support initiatives across network management, cloud administration, virtualization and technical support. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to high-impact IT projects and ongoing operations within a dynamic and growing organization. The position is based onsite in Orange County, CA, with some hybrid flexibility.

The ideal person will have:

• Over 10 years designing, configuring, and maintaining network systems, including VLAN, LAN, WAN, and remote access technologies.
• Managed servers, workstations, and software applications to ensure performance and security.
• Provided Tier 2 support to resolve employee hardware and software issues.
• Supported IT projects including system migrations, software upgrades, and new technology implementations.
• Maintained detailed documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to support operational continuity and compliance.
• Coordinated with third‑party vendors for the procurement of hardware, software, and IT services.
• Monitored system performance and implemented optimizations to ensure stability and efficiency.
• Contributed to product and technology evaluations, including proof of concept (POC) implementations.
• Participated in an on‑call support rotation, providing assistance during evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, network administration, or a similar technical role.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SD‑LAN, DNS, DHCP, and experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Exposure to virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS and Microsoft Azure/M365.
• Salary dependent on experience: $100-180k.
