We are partnering with a prestigious premium beauty and skincare brand headquartered in Orange County, California, to identify an accomplished eCommerce Director who will spearhead their North American direct-to-consumer digital operations. This exceptional opportunity allows you to become part of a restructured eCommerce division and propel strategic expansion for a company with robust market recognition and considerable growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate both strategic vision and tactical execution capabilities—a results-oriented eCommerce professional with comprehensive expertise in website operations, conversion enhancement, and operational management. You will possess the independence to influence the trajectory of an approximately $50M digital operation and develop your team as the function expands.

Role Summary

In the capacity of eCommerce Director, you will manage the complete digital customer experience and accelerate revenue expansion across the brand's DTC platforms. Reporting directly to the VP of eCommerce, you will orchestrate strategy and implementation while collaborating cross-departmentally with Marketing, Creative, Operations, and Product Development functions.

Key Responsibilities:

eCommerce Strategy & Operations

  • Manage the DTC digital business to ensure consistent growth in awareness, engagement, and revenue
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Finance, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams
  • Oversee merchandising strategy, promotional campaigns, seasonal planning, inventory coordination, content strategy, and performance analytics
  • Drive the North American eCommerce strategy aligned with broader business objectives and digital goals
  • Lead initiatives that optimize the customer journey from discovery through conversion and retention
  • Manage relationships with third-party agencies, system integration partners, and vendors (developers, subscription platforms, CRO tools, etc.)

Digital Execution & Innovation

  • Champion exceptional user experience by improving site UX, streamlining customer journeys, and delivering personalized content
  • Launch new capabilities with emphasis on loyalty programs, personalization, and engaging content experiences
  • Develop and implement an eCommerce roadmap focused on revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify and integrate emerging digital capabilities to drive competitive differentiation and customer engagement

Data & Analytics

  • Generate actionable insights using customer surveys, digital analytics, and behavioral data
  • Track ROI of digital investments with clear reporting on customer acquisition, growth, engagement, and overall eCommerce performance
  • Deliver comprehensive weekly and monthly sales reporting with clearly defined KPIs
  • Implement testing strategies to improve conversion rates and retention metrics

Performance Optimization

  • Partner with Finance to develop budget scenarios aligned with sales goals and marketing investment strategies
  • Use data-driven testing to identify friction points in the customer journey and prioritize high-impact improvements
  • Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership on DTC business results
  • Collaborate with Planning teams to optimize inventory assortments, align stock with demand, and ensure product availability

Experience & Background:

  • Background in CPG, premium beauty, or skincare industries strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of scaling an eCommerce business and consistently achieving revenue targets
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional digital initiatives
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in eCommerce or digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a management role with direct DTC responsibility

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of CRM/email marketing platforms (Klaviyo or similar)
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing platforms
