Job Description We are hiring a full-time Data Engineering Manager to lead analytics engineering efforts for a well-established, enterprise-scale financial services organization. This company operates a modern, cloud-based data platform supporting high-volume, highly regulated business operations. The role sits at the intersection of cloud data warehousing, analytics engineering, BI, and system integrations, with a strong focus on stability, security, and speed.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape the data strategy, not just maintain pipelines. You’ll lead a small but impactful analytics team, make real architectural decisions, and partner closely with software engineering on integrations that directly power business outcomes. Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering
- 2+ years managing or technically leading a data team
- Deep experience with Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse
- Advanced SQL and strong data modeling expertise (star schema, SCDs, normalization tradeoffs)
- Hands‑on experience with BI tools (Power
BI, Tableau, or Looker) - Experience integrating Salesforce Sales Cloud (SOQL, custom objects, relationships)
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or Airbyte
- Background in data governance, PII handling, and compliance‑driven environments
- Strong ability to translate business logic into scalable technical solutions
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts responsible for dashboards, reporting, and data models
- Own data warehouse architecture, schema design, and performance optimization
- Partner with engineering on ETL pipelines, APIs, and source system changes
- Establish standards for data quality, access controls, and documentation
- Evaluate and implement tools across the modern data stack
- Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable analytics solutions
