Security Engineer

Must have:

Sentinel One
BEC (Business Email Compromise)
Incident response

Key Responsibilities
Sentinel One administration:
Deploy, configure, and maintain Sentinel One EDR across enterprise endpoints.
Threat detection and response:
Monitor alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and remediate incidents in real time.
Incident response:
Lead investigations of security events, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
Forensic analysis:
Collect and analyze endpoint artifacts to support investigations.
Security automation:
Develop playbooks and scripts to streamline detection and response workflows.

Collaboration:

Work closely with SOC analysts, IT teams, and leadership to contain and mitigate threats.
Reporting:
Provide detailed incident reports, metrics, and recommendations for improving defenses.
Qualifications

Experience with Sentinel One or other EDR platforms (Crowd Strike, Carbon Black, etc.).
Incident response expertise:
Proven track record handling malware outbreaks, phishing campaigns, and insider threats.
Technical skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, networking, and security protocols.
Scripting proficiency:
Familiarity with Python, Power Shell, or similar for automation.

Certifications:

Preferred credentials include GCIH, GCFA, CEH, or equivalent.

Soft skills:

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 – $90.00/hr.
