Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in tech support, service, software development, quality assurance, solution consulting or relevant software engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of hands‑on experience in complex software industry projects.
- Quick learner, self‑sufficient in learning a broad array of topics in a short amount of time.
- Interested in diving into technical fields utilizing extensive troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with multiple differing priorities in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.

Qualifications:
- Experience working in one or more of: data streaming and processing, Kafka, Zoo Keeper, Databricks, Database, Apache Spark, Linux, Command line/scripts (Bash, Python/JSON), authentication/authorization, AWS infrastructure and web services, Snowflake, Airflow, Kubernetes, containers, or similar technical projects.
- Complex hands‑on tech support or Dev/QA experience with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Git Hub/Datadog/Grafana/Jira/Confluence/Google Docs.
About The Job:
As an Incident Engineer working for one of our largest clients, you will work closely with the Incident Manager, peer Incident Engineers globally, and client‑side senior development engineers and team leads to mitigate incidents happening during the shift based on incident runbooks, existing documents, self‑research, investigation, troubleshooting, testing or experience. You will be able to learn a broad array of cutting‑edge technologies on data processing and streaming, Kafka, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Work on three major projects as the incident engineer.
- Act as a first‑tier responder: acknowledge quickly, analyze the incident, search the knowledge base and find accurate solutions to mitigate the issue independently.
- Dig deeper to find the root cause, record results and learning tips for team sharing.
- Expand the knowledge set and continue to accumulate hands‑on experience, working independently on incidents without guidance.
- Communicate proactively with the incident manager and senior dev engineer/team leads from the client side.
- Report thoroughly on research results and elevate incidents as needed.
- Be a self‑starter and connect the dots on various incidents to uncover patterns.
- Summarize learnings, document, and share knowledge with the global team.
- Keep learning from runbooks, existing documents, online videos, and documents to continuously enhance troubleshooting skills.
- Present demos to the team on the learnings.
- Work on routine operational ticket tasks such as cluster/machine maintenance, granting permissions on roles/resources, etc.
