A well-established independent retail insurance brokerage with several offices across Southern California, recognized for its strong culture. The firm is growing organically and through acquisitions, and it’s investing in technology to cut manual work, improve data quality and give employees and clients a better experience.
The Role
You’ll report to the Chief Information Officer and act as the link between business operations and technology. You’ll work directly with department leaders and end users to understand how work gets done, then configure, improve and support the systems behind it. This is a hybrid role based in Irvine with a strong in-office presence. Success is measured by less manual effort, better data accuracy and reporting, smooth upgrades and implementations, and strong user adoption.
Key Responsibilities Partner with department leaders to analyze workflows, gather requirements and translate business needs into practical technology solutions
Configure, maintain and support business applications, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and document management systems
Build workflows, forms and automation with Power Automate, and develop reports and dashboards with Power BI and SQLTroubleshoot application, data and integration issues, coordinate fixes with IT colleagues and vendors, and document resolutions
Plan and run testing (functional, integration, UAT) for system upgrades, migrations and new implementations
Create user guides and training materials, and train employees on supported systems
Support technology integration for newly acquired agencies, including data validation, training and transition
Help evaluate new technology and AI tools in line with security and data-handling standards
Qualifications3+ years in systems analysis, business application support or a related IT role Proven ability to gather requirements, document processes and turn business needs into technology solutions
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate and reporting tools
Experience with application configuration, testing, implementation support and end-user training
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with insurance agency management systems, document management platforms or financial services applicationsSQL and Power BI experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or a related field
Microsoft, business analysis, ITSM or CompTIA certifications
Compensation: $113,000 – $125,000 base, based on experience
