Junior Litigation Attorney

Serviam has an immediate opening in our Irvine office for a Junior Litigation Attorney with 1 to 4 years of experience. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful cases serving public agencies across California. Our work is rooted in public service. We represent cities, counties, and public agencies in a broad range of litigation, including code enforcement, receiverships, criminal prosecution, nuisance abatement, police liability defense, Pitchess motions, and cost recovery. Whether you are newly admitted or already building your litigation skills, we provide mentorship and exposure to all stages of the litigation process.

Assist in representing public entities in civil and administrative litigation

Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and discovery responses

Conduct legal research and prepare strategic case analysis

Participate in depositions, hearings, and client meetings

Collaborate with senior attorneys and public agency staff

J.D. from an accredited law school

Admitted to practice in California

1–4 years of litigation experience preferred (newly barred attorneys welcome to apply)

Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills

Strong organizational skills and a proactive, adaptable mindset

Passion for public service, litigation, and client advocacy
