Senior Attorney/Partner – Labor & Employment Defense
Location: Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid or Full Remote)
Pay: $300,000 – $400,000 per year
Our client is a premier business law firm located in Newport Beach, California, known for delivering sophisticated partner‑level legal services across core practice areas including employment law, litigation, corporate, and real estate. They are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Attorney/Partner with a focus on Labor & Employment Defense to join their growing Employment Law Practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to practice at the highest level—without billable hour quotas—in a supportive and collaborative environment that emphasizes client service and professional autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Advise employers on a wide range of employment law issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, leaves of absence, discipline, and termination
- Defend employers in employment litigation, including single‑plaintiff and class/PAGA actions in state and federal court
- Handle administrative agency matters (DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE)
- Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits
- Draft employment policies, handbooks, contracts, and separation agreements
- Develop and lead training sessions for employers on HR compliance and risk management
- Collaborate with other senior attorneys and firm leadership to expand client relationships and build the practice
- J.D. from a top‑tier law school
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
- 5+ years of relevant labor & employment experience
