Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (Hybrid)
We are a growing civil litigation firm that serves cities and counties in code enforcement, housing standards, nuisance abatement, land and use zoning, and municipal law. We are looking for amplification a 2+ year associate litigation attorney focused on municipal law.
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid/On‑site)
Employment type: Full‑time;
Billables: 1,950 hours/year;
Salary range: $110,000 – $200,000 per year.
- Represent local government entities in all stages of litigation, including pre‑trial, trial, and appellate practice.
- Provide legal counsel to municipal clients on code enforcement, land use & zoning, housing standards, civil litigation, and nuisance abatement.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on complex issues.
- Appear at public meetings, hearings, trials and other proceedings as required.
- Advise clients on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals and support staff to ensure effective representation.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on municipal law.
- Proven experience in local government, public safety, code enforcement, land use & zoning, housing standards, and nuisance abatement.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability vervaard to work with diverse groups.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
