Job Description Position Summary
At Silver sage, our vision is to make a difference for each client. One at a time. As we evolve, we are seeking a Director of Operations to help us fulfill that vision. The Director of Operations leads all operational functions at Silver sage® Wealth Advisors, applying deep industry expertise for the benefit of organizational consistency and team efficiency. Additionally, the Director of Operations provides guidance to associates to resolve moderately complex issues, provides client service and manages projects, manages the practice’s day‑to‑day operational functions, and ensures compliance with firm and regulatory policies and procedures — all while enhancing the overall client experience.
The ideal candidate is also warm, engaging, coachable, and has strong communication and people skills.
- Collaborates with leadership in long‑term strategic planning to implement organizational vision and optimize operations
- Leads and manages Client Service Associates and other team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Performs human resources duties, including hiring, conducting employee performance evaluations, managing employee time records and payroll administration
- Administers employee benefits programs, including 401(k), health, and dental insurance, etc.
- Monitors cash flow and business expenses; conducts monthly P&L reviews with leadership to ensure financial targets are met
- Drives the development and execution of marketing campaigns and educational initiatives
- Designs, refines, and enforces operational workflows to maximize team productivity and service quality
- Manages systems for tracking and reporting client interactions to ensure consistency and compliance
- Supervises general office operations, building management, vendors, equipment, software and insurance
- Processes client cash and trade requests with accuracy and efficiency
- Researches and resolves complex client situations and inquiries
- Provides oversight, research and guidance on all industry compliance‑related matters
- Ensures all industry and Raymond James mandates are conducted such as Prudent Process Reviews
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Proven ability to work independently and execute leadership vision with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to performance measurement and decision‑making
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
- Detail‑oriented and consistent in applying processes, procedures, and regulatory standards
- In‑depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, policies, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Five or more years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably including related operational management and supervisory experience
- An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training
- Series 7, 9 & 10
- Series 63, 65 and/or 66 as required by state
- Ability to obtain additional securities and advisory state registrations if required by state
