Government Audit Director

Duties Supervise various audit and assurance projects for government bodies, such as cities, counties, special districts, and charter schools.

Act as the main point of contact among clients, project teams, and firm executives.

Coordinate project planning, team allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and completion.

Assess audit documentation, reports, and financial statements for accuracy and adherence to regulations.

Counsel and nurture team members while providing expert advice and direction.

Cultivate and sustain positive client relationships.

Engage in activities to generate new business and help broaden the firm's Government and Nonprofit section.

Requirements Must hold a CPA license.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

At least 10 years of experience in public accounting, with leadership responsibilities at the Senior Manager level or higher.

Extensive background in auditing governmental entities.

Thorough understanding of Yellow Book (GAGAS), GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.

Preferred experience with Single Audits and Nonprofit organizations.

Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business growth.
