Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Expeditor.

The hourly rate for this position is $32.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:30 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Production Expeditor level 1 or 2 is responsible for ensuring the timely release, movement, and tracking of work orders through the production process. This role requires a high sense of urgency, strong communication skills, and close coordination with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams. The Production Expeditor will play a critical role in identifying and resolving bottlenecks to meet customer delivery schedules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Track daily job status and proactively follow up with departments to maintain production flow.

  • Identify and elevate potential delays or constraints to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

  • Coordinate with the Detail Scheduler and Operations team to support daily and weekly production goals.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to resolve issues impacting on‑time delivery.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in the production workflow.

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in ERP/MRP systems related to job status and priorities.

  • Assist in expediting materials or tools needed to prevent production delays.

  • Participate in daily production meetings to communicate status updates and problem areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production planning and control.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing expeditor, coordinator, or production support role.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and follow‑up skills.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and shop‑floor tracking.

  • Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the aerospace or fastener manufacturing industry.

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge or experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
