Job SummaryJoin the Parker Aerospace team as a Production Assembler 2 to support the manufacturing of advanced defense systems. You will perform medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and sub‑assembly work, following well‑established procedures while ensuring high quality and safety. This role contributes to Parker’s mission to enable engineering breakthroughs that create a better tomorrow.
Responsibilities- Intermediate spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques.
- Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques.
- Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts, including torque requirements.
- Intermediate fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing.
- Read basic blueprints and work instructions.
- High voltage potting and testing up to 12 kV.
- Operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, solder irons, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.
- Work independently and collaborate with Quality, Production Control and Engineering teams.
- Work under general supervision to meet production output targets.
- Apply ESD controls and soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques.
- Handle classified assemblies with strict compliance to security and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED with ≥3 years of electronics assembly experience; J‑STD‑001 certification preferred.
- US citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills: understand written instructions and perform simple calculations.
- Ability to apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions.
- Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift up to 25 lb and use hands for precise work.
- Pay Range: $18.90 – $31.50 per hour.
