The Production Control and Expeditor level is responsible for ensuring the timely release, movement, and tracking of work orders through the production process. This role requires urgency, strong communication skills and close coordination with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities- Locate orders and prioritize production sequence to move parts throughout manufacturing operations.
- Review component availability and customer requirements to release shop orders based on optimized lot sizes.
- Utilize complete knowledge of scheduling procedures and documentation to support assigned production activities.
- Analyze work center workload and workflow to ensure timely completion of orders and coordinate schedules with leads, supervisors and area managers.
- Maintain project trackers and action lists to engage stakeholders as required.
- Develop and initiate master or detailed schedules to support manufacture of standard parts or assemblies in assigned area.
- Frequent contact with marketing, methods engineering, production control, purchasing to obtain or present scheduling information.
- Perform other duties as necessary or that may be assigned from time to time.
Required:
- Familiarity with Supply Chain metrics and MRP systems.
- Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions.
- Experience working well in a cross‑functional team setting.
- High visible energy, sense of urgency, and ownership.
- Effective communication skills to teams and upper management.
- Ability to manage several tasks and priorities at a time.
- 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
- Experience developing and managing project schedules using MS Project or equivalent.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Aerospace machining and secondary processing experience.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience or background.
- Microsoft Excel programming or other computer programming skills.
- ERP system reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Familiar with SIOP process; deployment, process improvement and driving stakeholder engagement.
The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or reach, and must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision.

Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $23.25 to $34.75 US Dollar (USD) hourly.
Benefits: 80 hours paid time off per year, 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k) plan participation.
