Production Chemist

The Production Chemist formulates products and intermediates utilizing biologicals and chemicals of varying properties and characteristics in order to meet specifications.

• Bulk formulating products of low to medium complexity including intermediates in accordance with approved written procedures and policies.
• Perform data entry and inventory control utilizing the ERP database.
• Completing production documentation and maintaining quality records to GDP/GMP standards.
• Coordinate, prioritize and plan lab tasks to meet strict deadlines.
• Follows controlled Standard Operating Procedures/ documents.
• Monitors manufacturing processes and performs adjustments when necessary to meet required yields.

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field
• Experience working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent.
• Ability to follow guidelines and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Ability to work in a product team and make decision of limited scope, subject to review.
• Able to follow detailed procedures and have good documentation skills. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices.
• Must be experienced in using ERP systems- SAP a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – Excel and Word.
• Basic working knowledge of laboratory environments, materials, and equipment.
