PCC Fasteners offers comprehensive product lines that cover virtually every aerospace fastening application. The company produces fasteners, precision components, tooling, and engineered system solutions for the automotive, defense, industrial machinery, and other performance-driven markets. Manufacturing operations are spread over four continents, providing a global network of industry-leading capabilities.

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, the Irvine location features CNC machining, CNC waterjet cutting, laser marking, heat treating, NDT, and EDM. This full‑time, on‑site position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with occasional overtime and weekend availability as directed.

Position Summary

The Production Control and Expeditor ensures the timely release, movement, and tracking of work orders through the production process. The role requires strong communication, coordination with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams, and a high sense of urgency to identify and resolve bottlenecks and meet customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate orders, prioritize production sequence, and move parts throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Review component availability and customer requirements to release shop orders based on optimized lot sizes.
  • Apply scheduling procedures, techniques, and documentation to support assigned production activities.
  • Analyze work center workload to ensure timely completion of orders, coordinating schedules and staffing with leads, supervisors, and area managers.
  • Maintain project trackers and action lists to engage additional stakeholders as required.
  • Develop and initiate master or detailed schedules for standard parts or assemblies, verifying routing data, preparing optimum quantities for fabrication runs, and managing material flow.
  • Recursively adjust schedules to accommodate engineering changes, new releases, priority upgrades, rework dispositions, shortages, or supply issues.
  • Maintain product status data to compare or monitor schedule estimates with production capability or material support.
  • Maintain frequent contact with marketing, methods engineering, document control, and purchasing to obtain or present scheduling information.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Manage work order launch and system integrity.
  • Identify interdependencies between product types and operations by developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule.
  • Establish project schedule development, monitoring, and analysis to identify critical paths and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
  • Familiarity with supply‑chain metrics and MRP systems.
  • Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a cross‑functional team setting.
  • High visible energy, sense of urgency, and ownership.
  • Effective communication skills to teams and upper management.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules using MS Project or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Aerospace machining and secondary processing experience.
  • Experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
  • Lean manufacturing experience or background.
  • Microsoft Excel programming or other computer programming skills.
  • ERP system reporting and analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with SIOP process, deployment, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, occasionally stand, walk, and use hands to handle items. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Pay & Benefits

Range: $21 – $34.75 USD hourly. Eligible for the company’s quarterly cash bonus plan. Employees receive 80 hours paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and participation in the company’s 401(k) plan.
