Overview
Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector
Location: Irvine, CA 92618
Duration: Contract
Shift: 1st Shift
Team:
Position SummaryResponsible for performing semi-complex inspection, calibration, and nondestructive testing activities with limited supervision in a team environment to ensure compliance with engineering, customer, and military specifications.
Responsibilities- Perform semi-complex inspections on machined parts using precision measuring instruments
- Conduct first article, source, envelope, surface plate, assembly, test, and shipping inspections
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and military standards
- Determine acceptance/rejection, document results, and investigate defects or customer returns
- Perform calibration of measuring and test equipment and maintain calibration records
- Execute NDT inspections per applicable specifications and safety requirements
- Support customer and government source inspections as required
- 3+ years of inspection, calibration, or NDT experience
- Level II NDT certification (2+ disciplines) preferred (MIL-STD-410 / PES1-29)
- Experience with CMM operations and GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and shop mathematics skills
- Knowledge of military standards and quality requirements
