Position SummaryThe Material Handler II ensures timely and accurate movement of materials within the facility. This role is responsible for packaging, shipping, receiving, and distributing materials to support production and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Material Movement:- Transport materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Package and label produced goods according to company standards.
- Maintain inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and support inventory turnover goals.
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks in compliance with safety guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations is a plus.
Skills:
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
- Action Oriented: Works with energy and urgency; seizes opportunities with minimal planning.
- Collaborative Team Player: Seeks input, builds trust, and works effectively across teams and functions.
- Learning on the Fly: Adapts quickly to new challenges; open to change and continuous improvement.
