- Provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients on Medical/Surgical units.
- Collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care.
- Conducts physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, and meets nutritional needs.
- Educates patients and families and facilitates discharge planning.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
- Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary, consulting as needed, and confers with appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- BSN required or a BSN program started within one year of hire date and the BSN degree obtained within two years.
- BSN preferred.
- Outpatient Treatment Centers Infusion:
Oncology infusion experience is required;
Non‑Oncology infusion: no experience required.
- Registered Nurse in the State of California – current and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to clinical rotation.
- Outpatient Treatment Centers Infusion – Oncology Infusion Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification (ONSONCC) required; not required for Non‑Oncology infusion.
- Outpatient Treatment Centers Infusion (Non‑Oncology) Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred (ONSONCC).
