The Charge Nurse will provide clinical leadership, direct patient care, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality emergency care and patient safety. • Oversee and direct emergency department activities during assigned shifts.
• Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Assist in determining work priorities, assessments, care planning, and coordination.
• Regularly perform direct patient care responsibilities as a Registered Nurse.
• Support the manager in staff development, operational efficiency, and leadership duties.
• Participate in marketing initiatives, community outreach, and leadership engagement.
• Provide guidance in resolving operational and patient care challenges.

Candidate requirements

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current California Registered Nurse License (upon hire)
• National Provider BLS Certification - American Heart Association (upon hire)
• Three (3) years of RN clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Six (6) months of recent clinical experience with mental health and wellness patients

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• LPS training coursework
• One (1) year of leadership experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting
