Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for a night shift Oncology unit position, requiring a CA RN license and extensive oncology/hematology experience.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient Oncology/Hematology unit caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with blood disorders and various cancers
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
- Floating to other units and weekend rotation are required
- Patient care includes complex treatments such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and CAR T-cell therapy
- Uses Epic EMR and prior Epic experience is required
- Role includes leading daily operations, staffing, mentoring staff, ensuring safety, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
- Responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy and blood products, patient flow coordination, and managing complex oncology care
- Orientation consists of 36 hours
- Caribbean blue scrubs required and not provided by the unit
- First-time travelers are welcome if all experience requirements are met
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and CHEMO certification required
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient oncology experience required, hematology preferred
- Minimum 3 years of charge nurse experience required
- Experience administering chemotherapy required
- Epic EMR experience required
