Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN with a current CA license and inpatient chemotherapy administration expertise for a hospital-based oncology unit.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient oncology unit with a patient population of adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Specialty care for blood disorders and cancer, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and CAR T-cell therapy
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required with four weekend shifts per month (Friday-Sunday)
- Float to other units as needed
- Uses Epic EMR; prior experience required
- Responsible for direct patient care, managing complex oncology treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Mentor and support staff while ensuring patient and workplace safety
- Thirty-six hours of orientation provided
- Caribbean blue scrubs required and not provided by the unit
- First-time travelers will be considered if experience requirements are met
- Active California RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification required
- Minimum of three years of oncology nursing experience required, with hematology experience preferred
- Experience in inpatient oncology and administration of chemotherapy required
- Epic EMR experience required
