Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician .

Sunday thorough Thursday - 5 8.5 hour shifts

RVT Pay: $24.50 - $47.05/Hr

Schedule
:
Wednesday - Saturday

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system
.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

* Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. As a Neurology Veterinary Technician , you will:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc ).

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia

• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.

• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values

• P erform call back s and refill medications

• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician

• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.

• Understand normal vital parameters

• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture

• O perate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.

• R estrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
