The McNaughton Lab at UCI is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with interest and experience in systems and computational neuroscience to investigate hippocampal‑cortical interactions, memory and memory consolidation using advanced neuro‑ensemble recording methods (e.g., in vivo 2‑photon Ca2+ imaging, multielectrode array recording). Topics include the role of sleep phases in memory consolidation, top‑down vs bottom‑up influences on cortical representations of virtual environments, extraction of schemas from episodic memory, and the effects of complex experience on cortical representational dynamics.
Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative skills and technical expertise in relevant areas, and a record of productivity.
