The Qavi Laboratory at UCI is seeking applications for Postdoctoral Scholars. Candidates should have doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or foreign equivalent) or be working toward the degree. The lab aims to develop the next generation of diagnostics for pathogens and diseases. Relevant skills include lasers, LEDs, optical system hardware, clean room fabrication, electronic circuit design, optical engineering, signal processing, and data analysis.

Preferred qualifications include a strong background in optics and device fabrication, high productivity with first author publications, and experience with the listed technologies. The candidate should demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills, analytical and organizational abilities, the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to mentoring others as well as receiving mentorship.
