Area Chef Manager/ Relief Chef – Southern CA

Compass Group USA is hiring for an Area Chef Manager/Relief Chef in Southern California. Salary: $85,000–$90,000 per year. Travel reimbursement is available.

Support culinary and food service operations across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Base location in Orange County with regional travel as needed.

• Full culinary management of food service operations including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract‑managed service experience.
• Menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory management with emphasis on local sourcing.
• Passion for sustainability.

• Resident of Orange County, CA.
• Working knowledge of HACCP.
• Minimum three years of culinary management in contract food service, fine dining, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of food & catering trends focusing on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Experience with exhibition cooking.
• Serv Safe certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to LA, San Diego, and Orange County as needed.
