Cook I - Oak Creek Golf Course ($24.00)

Cook 1 is a lead line cook responsible for assisting in various kitchen areas, preparing food according to Oak Creek Golf Club culinary standards, and maintaining composure under stress.

• Knowledgeable in culinary skills with ability to multitask and work independently.
• Coordinate with Sous Chef on menus and quality control.
• Perform vegetable prep, plating, stock rotation, and assist coworkers.
• Sear proteins, re-therm/cool products following HACCP guidelines.
• Finish cooking and plating, generate requisitions for inventory.
• Assume some Sous Chef responsibilities in their absence.
• Follow club policies, operational fundamentals, and mission statements.
• Ensure food flavor, presentation, minimize waste, and maintain consistency.
• Engage with guests professionally, maintain neat appearance, and create a safe workstation.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and prepare various food items using appropriate methods.
• Ensure quality, portion control, sanitation, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Assist with food prep during off-peak times and close the kitchen properly.
• Attend employee meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

• Culinary degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of high-volume culinary experience.
• Skills in initiative, professionalism, customer service, leadership, bilingual communication (English/Spanish), organizational skills, knife skills, food safety, and sanitation.
• Must possess California Food Handlers Card.
