Qualifications:

• Read and write English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Desired Additional

Skills:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

What You Will Do:

The Part‑Time Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs a variety of duties including receiving inventory, stocking, operating a cash register, carrying‑out services and maintaining store cleaning.

Specific Duties (but not limited to):

• Maintain a store section; order, receive, and stock merchandise; assure proper pricing; check product date codes; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products; set up advertising/promotional displays; review invoices for accuracy.
• Cleans and maintains sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed.
• Operates a cash register, receives payment, processes refunds, verifies customer eligibility for alcoholic beverages.
• Offers friendly, knowledgeable, efficient assistance to customers and assists loading purchases into vehicles.
• Performs basic bookkeeping duties and records lost/damaged goods and store supplies.
