Position DescriptionThe Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The position involves research investigation in cardiovascular and dual energy CT. Research focuses on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis. Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong background in CT physics
- Experience in dual energy material decomposition CT
- Background in image processing, computational modeling, or quantitative imaging.
Strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career is encouraged. Knowledge of physics, mathematics, and software or hardware development skills are essential. Ability to communicate verbally and in written format is important.
QualificationsBasic qualifications (required at time of application):
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in medical physics, physics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field
